Wildfire

Painting Details:
30″ x 40″, acrylic, 1.5″ gallery-wrapped canvas
Description:
This painting was inspired by a haunting yet beautiful song written and released in 1975 by Michael Martin Murphy. It’s about a beloved horse, a girl and a lost love. It was a chart favorite back then and still remains a tune I enjoy and stays on the edge of my mind.
She comes down yellow mountain
On a dark flat land she rides
On a pony she named Wildfire
Whirlwind by her side
On a cold Nebraska night
